Set in one of Aitutaki's most picturesque locations, One Foot Island Hideaway or McBirney House is a two story cabin complete with shower/toilet, self catering facilities and spacious deck. The property is located in a secluded tropical island retreat on stunning One Foot Island - an uninhabited offshore island in Aitutaki's beautiful lagoon.

The cabin can take up to 6 adults. Accommodation is basic with mattresses provided for sleeping. Directly overlooking the lagoon, the property is set amongst palm trees, unspoilt white sand beaches with an exceptional view to the lagoons offshore islands or motus.

Those wanting to experience this beautiful setting will need to book the Bishops Lagoon Cruise across to the island. The transfer over to McBirneys includes the entire lagoon cruise activities and BBQ lunch, which is prepared and served with other guests on the cruise.

Please note the return transfer back to the mainland from McBirneys is an extra charge to the Lagoon Cruise transfer. Please ask us for more information on this charge.

No one lives permanently on One Foot Island apart from local fishermen who sometimes visit the island at night, there will not be any one else around after the last lagoon cruise operator leaves for the mainland. Be prepared for complete isolation and utter relaxation.
